Susan, Esther, and Daisy started at university three weeks ago and became fast friends. Now, away from home for the first time, all three want to reinvent themselves. But in the face of handwringing boys, “personal experimentation,” influenza, mystery-mold, nu-chauvinism, and the willful, unwanted intrusion of “academia,” they may be lucky just to make it to spring alive. Going off to university is always a time of change and growth, but for Esther, Susan, and Daisy, things are about to get a little weird.
One of my goals this year was to read more (really start) graphic novels. When I started looking for a novel to read I was so overwhelmed with what to pick. I knew the big ones like Saga and Walking Dead, etc. But I didn’t want to start with those. I ran across this one on my public library’s site and knew instantly that I wanted to read it.
Within the first couple of pages I was laughing my butt off. I enjoyed the characters so much and the story in the first two volumes. While I had a hard time connecting with Daisy, I thought that Susan’s arc in the story was the best. I enjoyed her run in’s with her ex and wanted to know more of what went wrong with them. There were so many things that I could relate to and it was like being back in college.
I don’t want to give too much away because I think this is best going into it without knowing what it’s about. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is entering college, in college or wants to relive those wonderful years.
