Read More about it here.
Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past…
She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.
She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for her. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.
The fourth volume in the New York Times bestselling series continues Celaena’s epic journey and builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.
You know I used to really feel bad about giving 3 star reviews, but lately I’ve decided that there aren’t that many “great” books catching my attention. Maybe I should follow my gut a little more huh? Okay onto the review.
I really enjoyed this book (after I skipped most of the beginning). I know, I know, you can’t believe that I skipped around 18 chapters. I really wanted to get to when Rowan entered the story and I told myself I’ll go back and read up to that point, but I just kept going. I also skimmed through Manon’s chapters (I’m not connecting with her as much as the rest of the characters).
I thought the story really progressed well I liked the growing romance between the characters. I have several new “ships” that I will go down with. I’m very interested in reading the next one, but I might need to take a little break from this world.
